Corn Chowder

Here is another of our favorite fall soups!  This is also one you can throw in the crockpot in the morning.

4 medium potatoes chopped
2 cans cream of corn
2/3 cup milk
1 1/2 cup water
1/2 medium onion chopped
8 oz cream cheese
1 cube butter
salt and pepper to taste

Add all ingredients to crock pot. Cook low 8-10 hours, or high 4-6.

Farewell

I said goodbye to a very close friend last week. In fact, a little TOO close of 'friend.' For 301 days, we have been inseparable. Literally. We never left the house without each other, not even for a few hours. Vacations, holidays, day and night, we have been together. Yes, I said goodbye to good ole' pumpy.  Milk-Machine-Megan is NO MORE! I feel like I've just been released from pumping prison! I would climb Mt. Everest, just to drop kick that backpack to No-Mans land. All the while doing a dance. After spending a whopping 30 days of my life hooked to it (702 hours, or 42,140 minutes take your pick) I am finally FREEEEEEEE!!!! So farewell pump! Farewell washing/sterilizing all your stupid equipment! Farewell annoying hee haw sound! Farewell nipple blisters! (By the way pump, if I ever figure out how to give you a nipple blister, you'll wish I had kicked you off a cliff) Farewell lanolin! I will NOT miss you!!

BYU Game

Boston, you got to go to your first BYU game last weekend! We had so much fun. You didn't know what to think at first, and when they scored the first touchdown, Daddy yelled so loud you got scared and started to cry. But you warmed up real quick and started clapping and making noise like everyone else. Everyone around us thought you were the cutest baby ever. When we took you to Aunt Ashley's house at half time, and came back without you, everyone was mad we didn't bring you back. I seriously was asked by 3 different people why we didn't bring you back. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Tree for the tickets!

Pumpkin Patch!

Here are some pictures from our fun trip to the pumpkin patch! We looked at pumpkins, went to the petting zoo, saw the tractors and went through a mini corn maze. You look so cute in your little nemo costume!

Cutest boy ever!

the sun was a little bright..

10 Months Old

Happy 10 months! You are doing so many things now. Ever since you started crawling, you have been EVERYWHERE. I can't keep up with you! You love pulling the pots and pans out of the cupboard, and have taken a liking to the poached egg pan. After you hit the pots and pans, you make your way to the pantry, and pull down your baby food jars one by one, til you get to your rice cereal. After you pull that down, the pantry is boring for you. Next, you hit the cupboard under the sink, and start pulling the garbage liners out one by one. When the kitchen is done, you go behind the rocking chair by the sliding glass door, and smack the printer around a bit. You usually get interrupted sometime in your routine by the dishwasher or the refrigerator opening. You are very familiar with the noise of these doors opening, and as soon as we do, you are there....FAST. It seems like you've acquired another gear, and are really quite fast haha. You can climb up on the door of the dishwasher, and are quite proud that you can do that!
You've started waving bye bye (when you want to) and know who momma and dadda are. You can shake your head no, and think its funny! If I ask you where my nose is, you can point to my nose (again, this is all when you want to - if I tell someone you can do something, you usually don't do it. I guess I'll stop telling people what you can do so I don't look like an idiot!) When I ask you where baby Boston is, you look at your picture on the wall and smile. One of your favorite things to do is sit in an empty diaper box, and have daddy push you around the apartment. We like to play hide and seek, and go on walks outside. We love you!
