Gracie 12-13 months

Happy Birthday to our Gracie! She is silly and stubborn with a mind of her own. She loves Dadda - her favorite! If we say any persons name in our family to her, she'll automatically turn her head to that person and grin. Unless you're saying MOM or Mama - I still don't think she realizes that's my actual name, or if its just something you say when you need something haha. She'll come up to my feet and yell MOM! MOM! But then if Boston has something she needs, she'll run to him and yell: MOM! MOM! Little stinker.

Gracie loves the show "Coco-Melon." Apparently its all the rage in the world of toddler TV, and although I find it slightly creepy, she really loves it and it gives me a chance to breath for a bit.

She loves to eat just about everything - Don't you dare take her anywhere unprepared with snacks. Her favorite food is costco muffins - don't even think about giving her the Sams club kind. She really won't eat it. She also loves cheese, bananas, apples, noodles, broccoli, juice, milk, cereal - more specifically lucky charms marshmallows, not the cereal part. Also any sort of sugar in any possible way, shape, or form. Lets be real - she loves sweets. She also loves to spread food in her hair! She'll look at me, slowly bring the food up to her head, pause and grin, and then cover her head in food. Specifically mashed potatoes.

She is getting all her teeth all at once, including molars. She gets really cranky! She hates cuddling, much to our dismay, and will only cuddle me if i'm feeding her before bed. Otherwise, its go go go! It makes us really sad actually. She come lay her head on us for a second or two, and then its over.

If she thinks she's being funny, or that something funny has been said, she squints her eyes and scrunches her nose and fake laughs with everyone else. Its really cute.

Gracie started walking just before 11 months - the first of our kids to walk before their birthdays.

We took Gracie to Leatherby's for her traditional birthday ice cream treat! On our way, we gave our kids a lecture about being good, since every time we go there, someone has a meltdown. We'll be on our best behavior, they said. Turns out, we had the meltdown of all meltdowns in front of the whole restaurant and parking lot outside with one of our elder children whose name rhymes with smelly. There was screaming, there was crying, there were threats made on both sides, and ended with said child losing her ice cream and cheese fries and watching us all eat. I don't know what it is about that place, I swear we're cursed there. It was not pleasant for either of us. We ended up on the bench outside with me nodding and smiling at people walking by with a screaming, kicking child. Ahh, bliss.

Gracie on the other hand, loved her ice cream, loved her presents, and party - minus the bounce house. We borrowed our neighbors, and she refused to get in and bounce. At least it entertained the other kids! Happy Birthday sweet Gracie, we love you so much!
