Ellie - 18 months

We love Ellie! Can't believe she's 1 1/2. She is SO smart. She can have a full on conversation with me now. I understand now why they say girls develop so much faster than boys....she is a chatterbox! Her new favorite words are "princess" and "pretty." She goes through her closet pointing out the dresses that are "princess" dresses, and her bows and headbands are all "pretty." She'll watch me put on my makeup or do my hair and will say: pretty, mommy! Great boost of my self esteem haha. She is talking in sentences, "Please, I can have it?" or "Drink, mommy?" When she gets in trouble, she will automatically come say sorry and give me kisses. "Sorry, mommy." If I ask if she wants something and she doesn't want it, she'll shake her head back and forth and say "no, no, no, no, no." When she drops something, she'll say "dang-it!" When she hits her head on something, she'll laugh and say "BONK!" When she wants to be held, she'll say "Please, i can hold you?" She loves cheese, and if I am ever slicing or grating any, she'll pull up a chair to stand on and say "cheese, please" after eating each piece I give her. She LOVES cheese. She is a daredevil! I have to keep a close eye on her, or she would run right out in the street, jump off the deck, or dive into the bathtub. She loves to swim, and has no fear of water. She'll stick her head in the tub water and pretend she's swimming, then pull her head up with a big grin, as I about have a heart attack. She loves to jump off things. The counter, the stairs, the couch, the window seat, pretty much anything. As soon as she jumps she'll say "again, again!" She loves shoes, and tries to play with my makeup. Its hard for me to tell, but everyone says she looks just like me. Sorry, Ellie!

She says prayers at dinner time and keeps her arms folded and her eyes closed....most of the time. Boston has had some pretty long winded prayers lately and the other night he was going on and on and on, and she was struggling to wait to eat till it was over. In the middle of him talking, she just says: Jesus, Amen, and starts eating haha. Boston was so mad! The prayer isn't over, Ellie! No-no!

Ellie has a ton of nicknames. They all just sort of migrated from cute nicknames, to funny ones. Boston calls her Ells-a-bells, or Jells-a-bells, which kinda sounds like Jezebell, which Jeff has started calling her when she's ornery. She is also called, Jells, Ells, Ellie belly, Ellie-belly-jelly-bean-sweetheart (when Boston is feeling silly) and Smelly Bean lol.

Her favorite foods are: well, maybe coming up with a list of food she doesn't like would be easier haha. She loves cheese, like i said before, boiled eggs (she'll eat like 5 of them if I let her) banana's, cold cereal, crackers, grapes, apples, rice and pasta.

She has been going to nursery for the last several months since she is just too rowdy in Gospel Doctrine. Especially when Jeff is teaching, she will run up to him and start climbing on random things, the whiteboard, the chairs, tables etc The nursery leader just came and got her and she didn't have a problem going! We've recently switched nursery leaders, so that has been hard on her.

She really is a sweet addition to our home. She makes us laugh, is silly and goofy, and no matter how many times she gets in trouble, I always am laughing at her on the inside. She makes us ALL extremely happy! We seriously can't help but smile when she's around!
