June things....

Started off June with President Nelson's youth fireside. We had conference center tickets, and got to sit closer than i've ever sat before. It was amazing and motivating, and after he spoke, the youth all stood and sang and boy was it powerful!  I know that our Prophet is here specifically for all of us at this time. I felt his love for me as he spoke. I can't even think about that experience without tearing up. That might have something to do with me turning 30 and being a complete and total sap now. He gave the youth 5 challenges including a social media fast. After completing my 7 day fast, I have cut a lot of useless stuff out of my life. I never really knew social media was a burden in my life until I gave it up for that week....just sayin, it pays to listen and follow the prophet. I haven't given it up permanently, i still want to keep in touch with friends, but I don't feel the need to get on every day anymore. If you haven't seen the fireside, WATCH IT!

Rylee thinks everything is a phone...

Boston graduated from his online preschool! Best program ever! He can read small books, knows how to add, can count to 100 (with a teeny tiny bit of help) Knows all his letters and letter sounds, all his "power" words, can write his own name, and everyone in our families name, and a lot more that I can't really think of right now....we loved it!

Got to do some bridal hair on my *wait for it* first young woman to get married! So weird! (My first young woman from our current ward....all the beehives I worked with in our Taylorsville ward are grown up and married with kids...yikes)

Here's what the kids did while we were at girls camp. Party! Thanks Fishy Grandma and Papa and everyone who helped make it a fun week for the kids!

I'm.....30.....

The days leading up to my 30th birthday were definitely worse than the actual day and after. Its weird when I think about being out of my 20's, but honestly I feel like my 30's will be AWESOME.
I woke up to breakfast and loads of presents from Jeff and the kids. Our yard was also decked out in Fiiz attire thanks to some mysterious Georgetown Ward birthday bandits ;) I didn't get a pic, but they had skewers stuck all throughout the lawn. When we walked outside, the kids freaked out and thought it was the coolest thing ever. Ellie ran around the yard through the skewers, arms spread open wide (Sound of Music style) yelling, "Oh my gosh! I can't believe it! I never thought this would happen to me!" Its now a running joke in our family. Every time she gets excited about something, we'll repeat it "I never thought this would happen to us!" haha. Her reactions vary depending on her mood. She'll either roll her eyes, scream, or laugh along. We have a legit three-nager.

Rylee was super happy this day haha
The kids took me to see Incredibles, during which, I bawled through the Disney short played before the movie. You know, the one about the wonton baby? This is one noticeable sign that i'm getting old and sappy, I cry during everything. Literally every Disney movie, and even some of the kids cartoons. its a little ridiculous. We went to Tucanos, and Jeff made me a cheesecake. Its always nice feeling special and loved, and boy was I spoiled. I also got to spend some time with my mom and sisters the day before getting lunch and pedicures. Talk about spoiled! Bring it on 30!
