First day of Nursery

Your first day at nursery went well! We walked you over, the nursery leader held her arms out for you, and you reached for her! Say what? It was great! We checked on you after Sunday school, and you were pushing a little popper vacuum. They were trying to clean up for a little lesson, and you did not want to give it up ha ha. When we picked you up at the end, you and the other kids were crowded around the nursery leader who had a bubble machine. You love bubbles! You cried once when you saw us, but I think you had fun! God job buddy!

Fathers Day

I had a very sweet and tender experience this Father's Day. So sweet that I needed to write it down, because I don't ever want to forget it. We were sitting in sacrament meeting yesterday and you and daddy were looking at photos. You like to look at pictures during the meeting, it helps you to be quiet and reverent, and you also like looking at the people you love! You get so happy when you see grandma, grandpa, Dustin, Jordan, Brady, Ashley, daddy and mommy....just to name a few! As you were scrolling through, you came across this picture.

This is a picture of my Grandpa Petersen. He died right after your dad and I got married. You've seen pictures of my grandparents and great grandparents at your grandma Roberts house on her bookshelf. You wave and smile at them. This time was different however, when you got a surprised look on your face and exclaimed 'Rampa!!' You looked at me, with a big grin on your face, while pointing at the picture, as if to say, look who it is, mom! You've done this with most family you know, pictures around the house, but this caught me completely off guard. I could not fight back my tears. I'm so grateful for the sweet boy you are, and for this completely perfect tender moment. You are going to grow up and do great things! You have a very strong spirit about you and have a crowd of ancestors cheering you on. I hope you are able to read this later and know that you know your great grandpa! And he knows and loves you! You must have had a special bond with him. How sweet it will be when we are all together again. We love you Boston! Thank you for giving me this sweet experience!

18 months and Fathers Day!

What a great day for a half birthday! You are exactly 18 months today, which means you are old enough to go to nursery! Daddy is sad to lose his elders quorum buddy, and said you get to stay with him today, one last time. You love your dad so much! Your favorite times of the day are when we FaceTime daddy at lunch, and when you hear the garage door open and dad is home from work. You like to play a little game with him, where you yell his name as loud as you can and wait for him to respond. This ends up with several minutes of you yelling each others names back and forth and you giggle and giggle.  Your favorite game is hide and seek! You scream and laugh when we scare you, and run away then come try and find us.
You are starting to form little two word sentences, like 'dad, nana!' Or 'fishies pease!' You talk a lot, but get really shy and quiet around other people. However, when it's just us, you go nuts! Your silly side is being cranked up and it is so funny to watch you be goofy. You are your own little person!
A few things you love are Curious George, squeeze it's, candy, grapes, playing in the dirt, swimming, popsicles, playing outside, and being on mommy and daddy's bed.
You are a fabulous sleeper, and take one 2-3 hour nap a day and sleep 7:30-7:30/8. You have all your molars and are cutting your pre molars now, I think you've cut two which brings the count to 14 with two more on the way! We just love you!
