Happy Birthday Ellie!

Ellie turned 4 last month! She asked for an Incredibles party with Grandma's and Papa's and asked for little taco's with broccoli and cooked carrots. Ha! She's a weird one. Also, her taco's consist of sour cream and shredded cheese.

Ellie loves to bake, wash dishes, watch Incredibles and Frozen, play barbies, princesses and dress-up, loves her dance class, and loves playing outside on her bike and scooter. She loves all things art and coloring, and LOVES mommy. Mutual nights have started to be REALLY hard on Ellie... she screams and cries and hangs onto my legs when I'm trying to leave. Not going to lie, sometimes its easy to get the heck out of there, but other times it really is hard. Occasionally I'll let her come with, and she loves when she gets to be with the big girls. She loves to brush my hair and paint nails together. She loves her Belle purse and carries her most important possessions in it which consist of at least 5 tubes of chapstick (and she offers it to everyone every 5 minutes) lotion, and her mini scriptures. She brings them to me every day and asks me to read to her. I get in trouble if we miss a day.

We have been working really hard on our letters to get ready for preschool. Ellie can write her name, and can write most of her letters! Sometimes she has a hard time knowing which letter is which. For a week or so, she kept telling us her name started with a D (no matter how many times we corrected her, she couldn't remember E, and always said D) so she became "Dellie" for the week. Fun fact, if you want to push Ellie's buttons, just call her Dellie.

She and I have been watching the kids baking championship while we fold laundry and we love to try and make the things the kids bake. We recently made eclairs or as the kids call it "pat a choux," and she had her own crazy idea's of how she wanted to fill and decorate them.

Ellie is....crazy. Once she does something that makes Jeff and I laugh, she gets this urge to make us laugh harder and amps up the silly craziness. And i'm talking AMPED UP. She is pretty hilarious...must get that from me ;) One night at dinner, she was talking non-stop and Jeff told her she had such a big mouth she could probably stick her whole fist in it. Sure enough, she made a fist, and in it went. We were laughing so hard we both had tears running down our faces. She can indeed stick her fist in her mouth. Watching her try and cross her eyes is also a good time. She loves being funny and silly.

Ellie wants to be a mom when she grows up.

We spent the morning doing "crafts" and the kids helped me make the Incredible city for decorations. As I was taping the buildings to the wall, Boston said: mom are you gluing those to the wall? And I laughed and sarcastically said yes, Boston, I'm gluing them to the wall. I forget that they don't understand sarcasm quite that well yet and before I knew it, we had airplanes, and boats all glued to the wall. Thankfully it came off pretty easily haha.

Rylee had a pretty hard time with Ellie getting presents when she got none. It was a battle most of the night to keep everyone happy and not screaming. Phew!

We love our Ellie girl!!
