Boston is NINE!

Our boy is NINE! Not many kids get a snow day for their birthday, but this boy did! No school for the kids and dad, meant sledding the afternoon away!

If you know Boston, you know what a great kid he is. He loves everyone and is super aware of their feelings. He includes everyone and is always concerned that everyone else is having a fun, even if that means giving up something he wants. He is selfless. If he's ever given anything, whether a gift, a treat, anything, it is ALWAYS split or shared with his sisters. He is the first to ask me what he can do to help, the first to recognize when anyone in the family is having a rough day and always knows what to do to make it better. He just quietly goes about doing good things, and is a pure joy to have in our home.

He would do anything for his sisters. He is a great friend, loyal, kind, smart and funny. His personality has taken a leap the past few months and he surprises me with the things he says and comes up with. He is getting so tall and is about to my shoulder. He loves soccer, baseball and basketball. We took a large break from sports through covid, so we'll see how he does jumping back into it all. He joined the chess club at school and is loving it! He loves to read and has also joined "Battle of the Books" at school.

We took Boston to see Zoo lights. It was FREEZING, and we found out about halfway through that Boston had a hole in the bottom of his shoe. His poor feet were freezing. Some hot cocoa and a piggy back ride later, he was a bit better. The kids also got to see Santa, and the lights were so fun!

Boston also got a baby cousin on his birthday! Ever since my sister announced her pregnancy, he was wishing they could share a birthday. He told everyone that was his "birthday wish," and it came true! This was the look on his face when I told him he got his wish :-) We love you Boston!
