We sure do love this girl! Ellie's birthday was pretty eventful. We signed on our new house today, got to have lunch with Dad at school, had her last day of school (which she chose to bring donuts to class) got her very own shopping trip with mom to the store to pick out a present, and had pizza and cake with Grandma's, Grandpa's, and Uncle Todd and Aunt Bonnie!
Ellie is a little firecracker with a huge heart. She loves her family, especially her mom (she is so sweet to me - even when i'm getting after her, she still cries for me) She loves to serve me, and especially make sure I always have plenty of water. I've been thirsty all the time - and she always makes sure my cup is full and I don't have to get up to get water. Whenever we have family time, she curls up right next to me and hugs me close. She loves to rub my belly and ask questions about the baby. She is going to be the best big sister! She and Rylee got to go to my gender check appointment, and when the tech told me it was a girl, she had a look of shock on her face, and tears in her eyes telling me: "but I really wanted a brother for Boston!" We are all so excited for another girl, but man, we all really felt for Boston that day. Especially Ellie, who really feels for everyone in our family and wants everyone to be happy. She loves to brush my hair and rub my back, and loves to help and take care of Rylee, who isn't always the best recipient of that care, ha!
She has taken the quarantine especially hard, wanting so bad to hug her family and see her cousins. She thinks about her family a lot. We stopped by my parents to doorbell ditch a birthday gift for my dad, and when we saw they were outside, we got out to have a safe 6-foot distance talk with them. Ellie got out of the truck immediately forgetting that we couldn't give hugs, and ran straight for my mom. She burst into tears when she couldn't hug her and cried the whole way home. It was heartbreaking. She begs me to send messages to her cousin Emmy and has been coloring pictures for her other cousins. HUGE heart.
Ellie is quick and funny (when she's not trying to be overly silly) and when she laughs really hard, its contagious! She can really give Boston a run for his money. They are still frenemies. Can't live with each other, can't live without each other. She loves to be included in anything he is doing. They are in separate bedrooms now, and Ellie loves sharing a room with Rylee. They have quite the set up with all their barbies, babies, princess little people and ponies. Some days they will be lost for hours playing house or doctor, or whatever else they pretend!
Ellie still loves to cook and so help me, needs to stop asking to make things or I'm going to be the next contestant on "My 600 lb Life!" We still love to watch the kids baking shows while we fold laundry, it's a highlight of our week for sure. She can make several simple meals on her own with only small help from Jeff or I with the stove. She loves that we have a double oven now, especially that we can make "so many" cookies at one time.
She talks....a lot. So much so that often times after 5 minutes or so, I still don't even know what she's talking about, and I often wonder if she knows what she's talking about. There are just so many thoughts running through her head, she just bursts and blabs everything out all at once all jumbled and crazy.
She loves painting, coloring, chalk, play-doh, and anything artistic. She loves our new backyard and will spend hours outside on the swings, or looking for dandelions to pick for me. She is DYING for a friend. We've only met a few kids on our street and so far, they are all boys. I'm sure she won't mind one day, but I really hope she finds a really good friend. She LOVES friends.
Happy Birthday Cute Ellie, we love you so much!
